Rocky Knob Farms
Waterford, Ohio, United States
266 Acres
Prime Whitetail & Turkey Hunting Less than 2 Hours from Columbus!
Located about 20 minutes north of the Ohio River and Ohio-West Virginia border, Rocky Knob Farms is our first-generation regenerative family farm. Part of Washington County, our 266 acres of rolling Appalachian foothills create a productive habitat for hunters with timber, pasture, and creekbottom.
We have about 30–40 acres of row crops, typically corn, a large pond, and about 500 yards of creekbottom. The remaining acreage is grassland pasture surrounded by pockets of timber.
We have three ladder stands available. One double and two single stands.
Hunters will find no shortage of opportunities here. Mature hardwoods and a thick creekbed serve as bedding and travel corridors for whitetails, while pasture edges and ag fields provide reliable sources of food. Ohio Easterns use the timber and open ground for roosting and strutting, especially during our spring season. Predator hunters will appreciate the farm’s mix of terrain, which supports coyote movement and provides ample calling setups throughout the pastures and brushy edges.
Our pond adds another layer of outdoor enjoyment, offering bass and bluegill fishing in a peaceful setting. Fishing is included with all hunting packages, so bring your rods and drop a line in when you're not hunting!
Tent or truck camping is probably the easiest option to stay on property. For multi-day stays, best structured lodging options will be either local airbnbs in the Watertown/Waterford Area or hotels 30 minutes away in Marietta, Ohio.
We do have a designated camper spot with power and water access just 20 minutes away if you'd prefer that option.

Bio
I am an avid outdoorsman and have been hunting & fishing since I was young. I love spring turkey hunting and enjoy whitetail deer and squirrel hunting as well. Fishing for all types of fish and trying different methods is really interesting to me. I spend my days working on our sheep farm and managing the natural resources we've been entrusted with.
My wife and I have two sons who are learning about hunting themselves and love life in the woods.
