Tobin Creek Ranch
The main focus of the ranch is hay production with some additional cattle grazing. The terrain is mostly comprised of wide open terraces with partially wooded draws between fields. The hay grounds are a grass and alfalfa mix, which both cattle and wildlife enjoy immensely. The draws provide both cover through timber and water through a series of springs that have been captured in stock tanks allowing animals to have a comfortable place to bed down. Depending on the season, weather and luck we tend to have healthy numbers of antelope, deer and elk that will choose to spend some of their time on our property.
We border state land (320 acres) that can be hunted in conjunction with our property, however no vehicular traffic is allowed on the state property. Furthermore, one of the main western side access points to public land in the Crazy Mountains is only about 6 miles away.
There is some limited fishing in a small creek below the cabin that you would be welcome to take advantage of while you are staying here.
We are in hunting district 315 for Deer & Elk, and 339 for Antelope.

The layout of this ranch makes it extremely huntable. The alfalfa fields are on a plateau, making it easy to get into position as deer/elk move up the draws towards the fields to feed. I did see a small group of antelope near the NE corner of the property as well.
