Two Bar Sheep Company
Two Bar Sheep Company consists of both sheep and cow operations located amongst steep mountain terrain. The Raftopoulos family has deep roots in raising sheep, dating back generations to the early 1900’s when their ancestors immigrated from Kaloskopi, Greece to the northwest corner of Colorado in the town of Craig. The rugged landscape of northern Colorado reminded them of their small mountain village in north central Greece and over the course of many decades and plenty of perseverance, the family began to grow their sheep operation.
Now operated by Steve and Toni Raftopoulos as well as their children Jorgiea, Andrew and Zacharias, the ranch has expanded to include nearly 10,000 head of breeding ewes and 2,800 head of breeding cows. Two Bar Sheep Co., continues to honor the Grecian roots by humanely and sustainably raising Rambouillet-Targhee ewes crossed with Rambouillet and Suffolk rams. The family tradition has continued with the same determination and tenacity of those before, in order to provide a high quality product for consumers.
