Hunt Ohio Easterns in Washington County.&nbsp;
Birds work our open pastures and roost along timber and creek lines. Enjoy gobbling activity during spring mornings with ample options to set up a blind in strut zones.
Our 266 acres of rolling Appalachian foothills is PRIME turkey habitat with timber, pasture, row crop, and creekbottom.&nbsp;
We have about 30–40 acres of row crops, typically corn, a large pond, and about 500 yards of creekbottom. The remaining acreage is grassland pasture surrounded by pockets of timber.
Our pond adds another layer of outdoor enjoyment, offering bass and bluegill fishing in a peaceful setting. Fishing is included with the price of your hunt, so bring your rods and drop a line in when you're not hunting!
Note: We are a working livestock operation. Some of the farm is subdivided into paddocks, where we may have livestock during your visit. You won't be prohibited from entering a paddock with livestock in it, but we want to make folks aware that our paddocks are enclosed by electric fences. You can easily get into each paddock through one of our gates. Leading up to your trip, we will communicate what paddock we have the livestock in, so you won't be caught off guard the day of your trip. We have all of our paddocks and gates marked on our map for you to reference leading up to and during your hunt.
Tent or truck camping is probably the easiest option to stay on property. For multi-day stays, best structured lodging options will be either local airbnbs in the Watertown/Waterford Area or hotels 30 minutes away in Marietta, Ohio.&nbsp;
No pets. We have livestock guardian dogs, and don't want other pets out here.
We do have a designated camper spot with power and water access just 20 minutes away if you'd prefer that option.&nbsp;

We request a minimum of two days for all turkey bookings. We have optional RV and camping access available as an add-on if you're interested in staying the night on property.&nbsp;
Turkey hunters will most likely see Easterns here in Ohio.
Here in the South Zone our 2024 spring turkey season runs from April 20th to May 19th. These dates are typically pretty similar every year.

Despite its smaller size, Dechant Farms provides solid hunting opportunities turkeys mainly forage in the fields and always roost nearby.
The property is conveniently located within 5 minutes of the I-80 and I-90 junctions, plus we are only about 28 miles from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Note: We are located in close proximity to the local Gun Club, so while your access will be 100% exclusive, it may not be quiet. We've found that the wildlife are not bothered by the club, but just want to make folks aware.

Single Day Eastern Turkey Hunt | Minutes from Cleveland

Hunt Ohio Easterns here in Coshocton County.
Our acreage is prime ag ground along the Walhonding River. The acreage is made up of two parcels, a 39-acre and a 148-acre piece, about a half-mile apart. Both parcels provide excellent habitat with a mix of croplands and timbered river-bottom.
We are located in Ohio's South Zone for turkeys.
Turkey hunters will find ample opportunities due to our riparian habitat and good sources in the fields.
