Here in the South Zone our 2024 spring turkey season runs from April 20th to May 19th. These dates are typically pretty similar every year.

The open farmground is surrounded by trees, but makes up about 85-90% of the property, largely serving as a food source for the flocks of birds. The remaining acreage, about 3 acres, is made up of timber that abuts undeveloped forest and a small creekbottom.
Despite its smaller size, Dechant Farms provides solid hunting opportunities turkeys mainly forage in the fields and always roost nearby.
The property is conveniently located within 5 minutes of the I-80 and I-90 junctions, plus we are only about 28 miles from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Note: We are located in close proximity to the local Gun Club, so while your access will be 100% exclusive, it may not be quiet. We've found that the wildlife are not bothered by the club, but just want to make folks aware.

Single Day Eastern Turkey Hunt | Minutes from Cleveland

Hunt Ohio Easterns here in Coshocton County.
Our acreage is prime ag ground along the Walhonding River. The acreage is made up of two parcels, a 39-acre and a 148-acre piece, about a half-mile apart. Both parcels provide excellent habitat with a mix of croplands and timbered river-bottom.
We are located in Ohio's South Zone for turkeys.
Turkey hunters will find ample opportunities due to our riparian habitat and good sources in the fields.
