Gobblers typically roost near the timber edges on Baker’s 60 and move through the fields in the morning and evening. Timber is about 5ish acres, but you can catch birds strutting through our ag fields and pasture, so lots of potential!

Note on camping: We do not have Bathrooms at this time (sorry). We can provide a small fire pit for free and fire wood bundles for $5 each or bring your own. We do live at this location and have Cattle, Sheep, one horse, one Cat and two dogs. Please don't feed the dogs.&nbsp;

Hunt Merriam's here at Darilane Farms! We are located about 30 minutes north of Spokane.
The farm will be opening up 40 acres of the property for hunting this Spring for the Washington Wild Turkey. Pend Oreille County is considered a Merriam's county for hunters looking for their Washington Slam.
We are located in Unit 124.
All hunting is restricted to the outlined boundary.
Darilane Farms is a well-traveled corridor for turkeys moving between nearby forests and agricultural fields. The property's habitat is made up of agricultural fields and evergreen forest. The best hunting is done with ground blinds and decoys, near the edge of both the forest and crop ground.
Be sure to stop by the farm store to take home some beef, or feel free to coordinate with us leading up to your trip, so we can have any bigger orders ready for you when you get here!

A testament to hard work and determination, our family has grown the operation from 50 cows with no ear tags—just names only the previous farmer knew to a fully functioning robotic dairy milking 220 cows, alongside a thriving beef operation and over 1,200 acres of farmland producing alfalfa, corn, and barley here in Pend Oreille County, Washington.

There's great hunting on our Baker's 24 parcel. It serves as a consistent highway for birds moving in and out of the surrounding timber. Plenty of choices when it comes to locations for setting up a blind. The year-round stream also helps bring in birds.

This is a steep hill climb into a balance of ag field and timber as turkeys move through the landscape to forage on what they want.&nbsp;
Located in Spokane County, any bird harvested here is classified as a Merriam’s for reporting purposes, making us a strong option for hunters looking to complete their Washington Slam.

The rolling terrain allows hunters to glass birds from a distance and set up along travel routes between roost sites and open strutting areas. Ground blinds and decoys are effective tools in the open fields, due to the limited cover. We do have about 20 acres of elevated ground that is wooded.
Hill View Farms offers more than 750 acres of rolling cropland and grasses just outside Four Lakes, a small town nestled between Cheney and Spokane. The property blends grassy hillsides, active cropland, and scattered pockets of timber that serve as bedding, roosting, and travel cover. Elevated ridges provide long sightlines across the fields, making it easy to locate birds at first light and watch their movement patterns as they transition from timber to feed.
Located within 10 to 15 minutes of both Cheney and Spokane, the ranch offers quick access to supplies, lodging, and dining while still providing a quiet hunting setting away from traffic and city lights. For hunters traveling in, we're only 15 minutes from Spokane International Airport.

Spokane County Merriam Turkey Hunt: Minutes from Cheney-Spokane

Here in Spokane County, any bird harvested is classified as a Merriam for reporting purposes. If you go one county to the south or to the West, you're in Rio country. That said, if you're looking to get your Washington Slam Pin, the ranch is a great option to check off your Merriam.
Permits are valid Statewide.
Our family is proud to be a 6th-generation cattle ranch in Spokane County. The property is located about 10 minutes outside of Cheney, WA, and about 20 minutes from interstate access to I-90. The acreage is also located in close proximity to the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge.
The ranch is comprised of just over 2,000 acres. The acreage is made up of two noncontiguous groupings of family-owned parcels. Each grouping is separated by only a couple of miles, so it's easy for hunters to make use of both.
The habitat consists of ponderosa pines, wetlands, meadows, pasture, and creekbottoms. The Damage Creek runs a portion of the ranch, along with livestock tanks, watering holes, and ranch reservoirs that all serve as water sources for the wildlife in our area.

Spokane County Spring Turkey Hunt | Merriams in Unit 130

Hunt Washington Rios in Unit 181.
Both spring and fall seasons offer solid turkey hunting on the Flyin Lazy V. The birds use the creek draws for roosting and move into the CRP and brushy coulees to feed and strut. During spring, toms can often be heard gobbling in the early morning light, especially near the timbered edges. Fall hunting allows for beardless or either-sex birds, giving flexibility across the season.
For hunters chasing their Washington Slam, the Rio Grande subspecies is most commonly found in Asotin County.
Set just outside the town of Asotin in southeastern Washington, the Flyin Lazy V is a 1,273-acre working ranch that's been in the same family for three generations. This property offers a classic Pacific Northwest hunting experience, with a mix of productive hay ground, open pastures, and rugged coulees that drop into brushy, timbered creek draws. It’s a place where cattle graze the upper plateaus, hay is still cut in season, and generations have quietly watched wildlife move through the shadows of the draws.
There are a few portions of the property in CRP, which, along with the native grasses and brush, provides excellent ground cover and bedding for wildlife. Water is readily available in the draws, and small ponds offer reliable sources for game. The mix of cover and forage supports a year round population of turkeys, with consistent sightings and good opportunity throughout the seasons.
For longer stays, visitors are welcome to bring campers or RVs, with electricity available at the grain bins. It’s a quiet place where you can set up camp, glass a draw at dawn, and enjoy the slower pace of life that comes with big sky, open country, and long views across the breaks.

The Colockum Wildlife Area provides year-round habitat for a variety of game including bighorn sheep, mule deer, coyote, cougar, bear, and Rocky Mountain Elk, as well as a variety of birds including wild turkey, quail, chukar, grouse and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Big Game Hunting: 
We border the Colockum Wildlife Area and surrounding public lands, but because of all the hunting camps and pressure on the wildlife, the game is driven down to the lower properties and tend to use our orchard for cover every night. Most of our hunting parties will hunt our place first thing in the morning and if they don't get what they are looking for they will move to the lower public lands.
This property is loaded with native grasses and has an orchard that draws the deer and elk to it daily. Even though this piece seems small at 40 acres, it is offered at a very reasonable price for the types of hunting that can be done on it. Property is gated and the boundaries are marked.&nbsp;

We are LOADED with turkeys. With a good amount of easily-traversable ground and creekbottom habitat, our mountainous evergreen property is a the perfect spot to bag a Merriam!
Our 570-acre property is home to scenic evergreen forests and small mountain meadows. The Bowman Creek makes up one of our boundaries. The creekbottom is where guests will find the steepest elevation change, about 120 feet lower than the rest of the property. The acreage, apart from the descent into the creek, is relatively flat and easily accessible.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The property is located in southcentral Washington's Klickitat County, just over 25 miles from the Columbia River and Washington-Oregon border.&nbsp;
At this time, there is no structured lodging on the property; however, we are only, about 14 miles away from the town of Goldendale, which has a few local hotels.
