Hunt bears here in the Pine Tree State.
We have enjoyed great success over the years with hunting bear on the property, especially due to our proximity to the White Mountains and nearby National Forest lands (property shares a border with White Mountain National Forest).
We do have a few bait piles that we maintain every year that hunters can take advantage of.
The farm is located in Maine's Wildlife Management District 15 - Oxford County Foothills.
For visiting hunters looking for lodging, the Kimball Getaway is available as an optional add-on to your hunt for $190/night. It's conveniently located just 15 minutes from the property in Chatham, NH, offering comfortable accommodations for both short and extended stays, along with fishing opportunities on the lake and beautiful views! We ask that you book a minimum of two nights in the cabin.
More Details on the Cabin:
Small cabin with direct waterfront. The living area has a small kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, coffee maker - no kitchen sink but there is a bathroom sink), as well as couches and a dining area. Bedroom sleeps two with private deck facing the water. Interior bathroom has a toilet and sink, and an outdoor shower can be found following a path to the back of the camp (with hot water). Air conditioner located next to fireplace. Cabin comes with a fire pit, picnic table, grill and black stone skillet. The lake is technically a by-water so you can fish with a Maine or New Hampshire license. The lake has great bass fishing. Cabin is just over 200 yards from the public boat ramp. Motor boats are allowed on the lake. Located in a great community, very quiet and private compared to larger lakes.
We also have dry camping available as an add-on to your package for multi-day hunts.

Bear Hunt

Hunt woodcock, ducks, and other in-season birds here in the Pine Tree State.
The property is a quiet option for bird hunters looking to spend some time in the woods. There's decent waterfowl hunting in certain areas along the Cold River.&nbsp;
Bird dogs are ok; however, they must not bother cattle.

Woodcock and Duck Hunt

We have birds literally everywhere on the property. The population is outstanding! With solid riparian habitat for turkeys along the Cold River and Colton Brook, the property also has ample food sources and cover: hayfields, corn, grassy pasture, and established hardwoods.
