BF Pivots | Haskell County
Rochester, Texas, United States
740 Acres
Our farm is located here in Haskell County and is made up of two non-contiguous tracts about 10 minutes (+/- 5 miles) apart. Our northeast parcel consists of two pivots, about 308 acres total. Our southwest parcel consists of three pivots, in addition to brushy edges and a 40-acre patch of timber, about 434 acres in total.
We see deer all the time on both of our tracts, herds ranging from a 2-20. We're encouraged by the high activity and numbers and think it should bode well for hunters who visit! We've seen a lot of hogs this summer as well. Due to the limited cover, the farm is probably best-suited for rifle hunters or folks who can bring a mobile popup blind to set up in or near one of the pivots.
Our property should also be a neat spot for predator and varmint hunters as we see coyotes, bobcats, and badgers. Bird hunters can expect to find quail and dove, especially in our brushy terrain around the pivots and in the irrigated portions of the farm. Bird dogs are welcome! Please note that if you're hunting with dogs you will need to bring some dog boots due to sand burrs being bad in some areas.
The farm is located about an hour north of Abilene and access to I-20, which can get you from the DFW area reasonably quick.
