We run a 1st-generation working livestock operation out of Lookout. We are focused on raising animals in a transparent way, specifically Belted Galloways, or Belties, along with pork and poultry. The ranch covers 70 acres of creek and river bottom terrain, with direct frontage to the Pit River. Private banks totals out to about 0.6 miles.

Here in Northern California's Modoc County, we are situated near multiple big swathes of National Forest, in addition to some nearby mountain ranges. Down in the valley, conditions are more arid; however, with the river, we see a lot of consistent wildlife activity. We are also just across the highway from a large reservoir, so plenty of water to go around.

River bottom country like this pulls mule deer through the riparian corridors along the water's edge, especially early and late in the day. The terrain follows the river, with planted fields and pasture on both sides of the water. A second field on the far bank is accessible by foot.

On the farm, we see mule deer, plus dove and quail. We are located in Zone X3A for deer hunters.

Fishing is included with all hunts. We also have a standalone package for any fishermen looking to come out in the summer months.
