Our wooded draws, creek bottom, and open meadows are perfect for turkeys. At this time, we will be opening the property for only the Spring Turkey Season.
Turkey hunters will most likely see Merriam's or Hybrids in this part of Nebraska. Merriam's may not be pure.
We are located just north of Crawford, where we live on a beautiful piece of Nebraska grassland. The acreage consists of mostly of meadows with large outcroppings of rocks, bluffs, and cedars that border the property.
The property is ideally surrounded by three of Northwestern Nebraska's top outdoor destinations: Fort Robinson State Park, Toadstool Geological Area, and Oglala National Grassland. All are within 20 miles of the ranch.
The Norman Ranch does have lodging, an old 2-room schoolhouse that we converted into a house. It sleeps up to 6 people. Also, Fort Robinson State Park (9 miles), Crawford (7 miles), and Chadron (just 30 minutes away) have hotels and there are plenty of places to camp nearby.
