Schwarz Ranch
Spanning an impressive 7,300 acres near Hoxie in Sheridan County, Kansas, Schwarz Ranch is a multi-generational cattle and crop operation offering exclusive access to our truly expansive and textured landscape here in Western Kansas.
Now in our second generation on this ranch and third generation in agriculture, our family has carefully managed this mix of native grassland, CRP, cropland, and timber, creating ideal conditions for a wide variety of game. With nearly all acreage connected and uninterrupted, this property allows hunters to experience big open country.
Ranch is all contiguous ground. We have a mile riverbottom on Solomon River, with other small creekbottoms and livestock tanks. We have about 350 acres of CRP and 500-600 acres of farm ground that provide food. Our Triticale fields are grazed in the Spring.
Fishing is also available in ranch ponds, offering bluegill and sunfish for guests looking to round out their trip.
We don't have any on-site lodging or camping availability; however, there are some decent Airbnbs in Morland (~8 miles away), Penokee (~13 miles away), and Hill City (~20 miles away). Hill City's Western Hills Motel is also a good lodging option.
