Tecker Ranch
Parks, Nebraska, United States
8,250 Acres
Located just north of the Nebraska-Kansas border and a short drive from the Colorado state line, Tecker Ranch spans 8,250 acres in the heart of Dundy County. We are a fifth-generation working ranch that sits along the Republican River with Rock Creek running through its northern pastures, offering a mix of river bottom, coulees, and wide-open pasture that supports both livestock and abundant wildlife. The land is shaped by more than a century of stewardship, blending tradition with modern grazing and conservation practices.
The ranch balances active ranching with leased farmland and pasture, while also supporting a small herd of cattle, Dorper sheep, and heritage Red Wattle hogs. A free-roaming group of llamas and alpacas provides a natural deterrent to predators and a bit of character to the landscape. The varied terrain, from grassy ridges to brushy creekbeds, creates excellent hunting conditions for coyotes and prairie dogs. With over 30 water tanks, nearby Rock Creek State Lake, and access to the Republican River, the property naturally draws wildlife throughout the year.
WE OFFER COYOTE AND P-DOG HUNTS YEAR AROUND EXCLUDING LARGE GAME AND TURKEY SEASONS. THE RANCH IS LEASED FOR ALL OTHER HUNTING.
Hunters will find excellent predator and varmint opportunities across the property. Large prairie dog towns are established across multiple pastures, making for high-action days with plenty of shooting lanes. Coyotes move frequently through the brushy drainages and breaks, and the natural elevation changes create ideal setups for calling and glassing. Whether you're posted near a dog town or tucked into a shaded coulee, the landscape works in your favor.
Be aware of Rattlesnakes, especially around the p-dog towns.
Beyond the hunt, Tecker Ranch invites visitors to enjoy the slower pace of ranch life. In the middle of our North Pasture, our son Sye owns Uppa Crik Tap Room and Hop Yard offering Nebraska distilled liquor, Nebraska brewed craft beers and some domestic beers. Except when a food truck is there, he serves frozen pizza and snack food. Check it out!
The Uppa Crik Tap Room also offers two water and electric RV hookups, and other camping areas can be arranged upon request. Photography, quiet evenings, and a genuine connection to the land await anyone who steps onto this historic property.
There is cell service in some areas of the property and WIFI and landline access at Uppa Crik Tap Room.
For hunters looking for structured lodging, check out our son’s airbnb: Sage Hill Loft
Note:
Be cautious when crossing Highway 34 to get to our southern acreage.
We tell people when they are driving up a hill to NEVER assume there is another side! In the bottom of the canyons and meadows, NEVER assume they are flat grassy meadows.
Often there are washouts and deep cattle trails hidden by the grass. The North pastures are very sandy and erode quickly so off-roading is limited to only what is needed to get to the hunting areas.
