The property features wide open prairies and wetlands, including fourteen ponds, which are perfect for waterfowl hunts.&nbsp;
While we do have water on the property, our biggest body of water is 2.5 acres. We've found that it's not enough to support a huge population of ducks and geese. Sportsmen will probably have some luck, but should not expect to limit out.
Best opportunities will probably be early season when the teal come through!
The Alexander Ranch is a 5th-generation working cattle operation proudly based in Sun City, Kansas.
Over the years, the Alexander Ranch has received widespread recognition for our wildlife and land management practices. We are also the proud recipient of the 2019 Leopold Conservation Award, a product of our family's commitment to leave the land better than we found it.&nbsp;
The property itself consists of 7,000 acres of rolling hills and rangeland featuring natural springs and fourteen ponds.&nbsp;
At this time, we don't have any lodging available; however, camping and RV stays (hookups available) are permitted on the property. Local lodging and other amenities are also available just twenty minutes away in Medicine Lodge. We are located less than two hours from Wichita.
Hunting/working dogs are allowed if you maintain positive control of your dogs and they don't mess with my cattle.

Low Plains Waterfowl Hunt | Early Season Teal Potential

The ranch is home to lots of ducks. Post up on our ponds and take 'em!
The Janssen Ranch consists of 920 acres in the Sunflower State's Ellsworth County.
Our ranch is home to some great hunting and fishing opportunities, providing guests with the perfect way to get out and experience Central Kansas at its finest!
At this time, we don't have structured lodging available for guests, but we are always open to campers or RVers looking to stay overnight on the ranch. Plus, the property is situated 25-35 miles from both Interstate 70 and Interstate 135, providing guests convenient access from near or far!

Central KS Duck Hunt on our Private Ranch Ponds

Routinely every February, hundreds and hundreds of snow geese have routinely been landing in our fields. We would expect goose and duck hunters to have a great experience here!
***Snow Geese Season is open until the end of April with no limit on how many you can harvest.***
Our farm is situated in the Northeastern corner of Kansas just minutes from the Kansas-Missouri-Nebraska Tripoint. We have about 550 acres of rolling agland with hardwood creek bottoms and brushy fencelines. Included in our available acreage, we have about 80 acres of leased ground from our neighbor, which features another awesome stretch of creek bottom with dense tree cover.
We currently are not offering lodging on site; however, hotels can easily be found in Hiawatha (17 miles) or Falls City, NE (20 miles).

Diamond J Ranch is a 3rd generation Eastern Kansas property purchased in 1956. The land and house have been well maintained over the last few decades.&nbsp;
