The landscape primarily consists of agricultural fields, interspersed with patches of mature hardwoods. In the south-central portion of the unit, you'll find a significant area of mostly undeveloped land, characterized by rolling grass slopes and timbered bottoms and draws. Record-book entries have been documented throughout the unit, with notable areas including Gage, Jefferson, Otoe, and Richardson counties.
