Eastern Turkeys roam the open timber and meadow edges, especially during spring when gobblers can be heard echoing through the hills. The mix of hardwoods and open ground provides ideal strutting zones and roosting habitat.
Our box blind is probably the best way to approach the hunt for both archery and firearm hunters.

The terrain is classic Catskill country: rolling timbered hills, dense creek bottoms, and a smaller meadow set with a box blind that offers ready-made opportunity. Old logging trails wind through the woods, providing access by foot or ATV. Dry Brook runs along one side, while a natural spring flanks another. These consistent water sources, paired with native forage and ample cover, support healthy populations of big and small game throughout the season.

The farm is located in New York's WMU 3Hf for turkey.
The habitat is a mixture of brushy pasture land, hay fields, hardwoods, and hemlocks.&nbsp;
Mobile blinds set up where the forest transitions to our fields is a solid bet for turkey hunters!&nbsp;
Hunters can choose to stay on the property overnight. Camping and RV access is limited to smaller setups. No hookups.

Normal farming practices occur throughout the season, and may overlap with hunting, but shouldn't have much impact on wildlife.

Turkey Hunters are invited to our Odonata property to chase New York Easterns on our 70+ acres. Birds will typically hang around closer to the small lake; however, you may have success higher up in the hills with a popup blind and some decoys.

Tucked at the edge of a large 1,600-acre swathe of public forest preserve, this off-grid Catskills property offers an ideal basecamp for hunters looking to access big public land with minimal hassle. Located within New York’s Wildlife Management Unit 4R and just two miles from downtown Windham, the land is surrounded by healthy populations of deer, turkeys, bear, and small game.&nbsp;
The gently sloping terrain features old stone walls, logging trails, and mountain streams that wind through hardwood stands, perfect for scouting and hunting. When you're not in the woods, take a plunge in the large spring-fed pond, clean up your gear, or sit by the fire to plan the next day’s hunt. The land’s layout and proximity to the preserve make it an efficient staging ground, whether you're heading out at first light or coming back in after dusk.
Three rustic campsites are available, all a short walk (about four minutes) from a shared shed with dry composting toilet and basic gear storage. Tent areas are cleared and flat, with room for two small tents per site. While completely off-grid, the sites are accessible enough for easy in-and-out, yet private enough that you'll feel fully immersed in the woods. There is also a short unpaved two-track, where you can pull smaller camper-vans or cabovers right up to our large pond with great view.
This is a launchpad into the Northern Catskills, offering direct access to miles of trails and thousands of acres of public hunting land.

About the Property:
We are located in Clinton County about 20 Minutes from the US-Canada Border!
Once part of a larger agricultural operation, the property has since been reclaimed by nature, creating ideal bedding and cover conditions for local wildlife. Surrounded by active farmland and bordered by parcels with flowing creeks and river systems, this tract benefits from excellent edge habitat and strong game movement from neighboring food and water sources into the property's thick cover.
Hunters will find a mix of thick cover and semi-open timber that creates natural funnels for wildlife. The lack of on-site water is offset by reliable water access nearby, helping support regular wildlife activity.&nbsp;
With no current agricultural use or residential activity, pressure is minimal, allowing game to move freely through the property throughout the season.

Turkeys are active, especially during spring season, roosting in the timber and feeding in fields near the orchard. Calling setups along the edges or down in the creekbottom can be productive!
Tent or truck/car camping is great. Rooftop tents or toppers work great too. We have an outhouse, but no power or water available.
**Please park at the entrance of drive and walk in, waiting on load of gravel to be able to drive into back. Not a long walk**
