Hunt mule deer or whitetail here in northeastern Wyoming.
Spot and stalk hunting will be a challenge here. Our hunters who've harvested in the past have had the best luck posting up near the watering holes and sitting until the deer come. That's what we'd recommend for any interested hunters.
Both whitetail and mule deer are prevalent on the ranch. We see slightly more muleys due to the sage brush, ridges, and timber in our high ground, but there's still decent chance for whitetails in the meadows and lower ground.
We have over 1,350 acres of private land in Weston County. In addition to our private ground, we are bordered by a large chunk of BLM lands. We have two parcels that border the South Dakota state line as well, providing direct access to the Black Hills National Forest. The ranch hunts large, so hunters should be prepared to put some miles on their boots. Terrain is pretty rugged and it can take some work to get around the ranch.
Habitat is classic terrain synonymous with the Black Hills, including timbered ridges, rugged draws, and natural springs. Elk are prevalent in this region, with ample glassing points and opportunities to put stalks on bulls.
The ranch is located in Unit 6.
