Parker Creek Ranch lies at the transition zone from the Texas Hill Country to the South Texas brush country. The ranch has been in our family since 1846. We manage it with regenerative and organic grazing practices - no chemicals or synthetic fertilizers have been used in over 14 years. We are located in the transition zone from the Texas Hill Country to the Tamaulipan Thornscrub or “brush country.” We have an amazing diversity of wildlife including White-tailed deer, Rio Grande turkey, Bobwhite quail, Mourning doves, feral pigs and much more. We feel privileged to call this land "home" and hope to share it with you.

Landowner Rules: Texas Hunter Education rules: Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course. Proof of certification or deferral is required to be on your person while hunting. If you were born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, and you are: under 9 years of age, you must be accompanied. (*See definition of accompanied.) age 9 through 16, you must successfully complete a hunter education course or be accompanied. age 17 and over, you must successfully complete a hunter education course; or purchase a "Hunter Education Deferral" and be accompanied. Texas license requirements: A Texas Hunting License is required for anyone who hunts game within the state. Licenses can be obtained online through the TPWD website, or through a number of vendors throughout the state. Fees for the Texas Hunting License vary depending on residency, age and the type of hunting activity. For more information, please consult the TPWD at www.tpwd.state.tx. Safety tips: 1. Treat every gun as if it’s loaded. Every time a gun is handled, check to make sure the gun is empty of shells or cartridges. Always assume the gun has the ability to load itself. 2. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction. No one should ever see the muzzle end of your gun. An experienced hunter is always aware of the safe direction to point the gun’s muzzle and would not hunt with anyone who doesn’t do likewise. 3. Be sure of your target and beyond. A safe hunter would never take aim at a sound, movement or flash of color. A safe shot is taken at a positively identified target against a clear, safe background. 4. Never point a gun at anything you don’t want to shoot. No horseplay with a firearm. 5. Unload guns when not in use. Have the actions open to ensure a gun is not loaded. 6. Store guns and ammunition separately. Store in a place where the guns are out of reach from children or careless adults. 7. Be sure the barrel and action are clear of obstructions. 8. Never climb a fence or tree, cross a log or stream, or jump a ditch with a loaded gun. 9. Never shoot a bullet at a flat, hard surface or water. 10. Never consume alcoholic beverages or drugs when handling a firearm. Alcohol or drugs should not be used before or during the hunt, or when cleaning a gun. Always be fully alert and in control.

Travis was a fantastic host. He took the time to show us around the entirety of Parker Creek Ranch, gave suggestions on the best times and locations to harvest a turkey, and provided us with good information he had gathered from scouting in advance of our trip. He made us feel welcome and maximized our chances of harvesting. He is a stand up guy. The property is also great. It is beautiful, and we saw a lot of turkey action. We saw/heard multiple hens and gobblers both days we were there. It is clear that there is a healthy turkey population on the property. We could not have asked or expected anything more from Travis or Parker Creek Ranch. I highly recommend that you book here!

Jonathan and his father were ideal guests. They were very professional and respectful. All communications were good. I showed them around our ranch the evening prior to their turkey hunt. The remainder of the weekend hunt they were entirely independent. I appreciate their leave no trace ethic. Jonathan and his guests are welcome them to our ranch anytime!

Travis was an ideal host. Showed us around the ranch the day before our hunt, shared insight into expected turkey behavior and suggested places to hunt. While we had to work for success, there was no question as to the presence of game. Saw a number of birds and were able to call in and harvest a beautiful gobbler with a 12" beard on my daughters first turkey hunt. Overall an outstanding hunt. This was my first experience with LandTrust but, if this is any indication of the quality of the properties they represent, I will be a regular with them. Already planning my next trip.

Dennis and his daughter were ideal guests. It was readily apparent that they were avid turkey hunters. All of our interactions were professional and respectful. I toured them around the property the day prior to their hunt beginning and they were independent the remainder of the hunt. I would welcome them to hunt on our ranch again!

Born and raised on the same ranch where I reside with my family today. I developed a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy fly fishing with a kayak or wading a small creek. Being just a few hours from the Texas coast I also enjoy chasing Redfish, trout and drum in the bays. My favorite time is a good Fall deer hunt. The harvest ends with turning all of this amazing meat into sausages, Biltong and other foods to nourish my family.
