5.0WARNING: Long Review (BUT PLEASE READ).... My wife and I are new to hunting and we were just hoping for a good weekend outing. However, I don't even know where to start. This landowner and his property were more than AWESOME. We arrived in the area the morning before the scheduled hunt and before I could call to let Travis know that we had arrived, he had already called to check up on us and make sure we had everything that we needed. He invited us out to the property to show us around (it is a large property) and point out the best places to hunt on the property. The amount of wildlife on this property can't even be described. I have never seen so many big deer, pigs, birds etc. After showing us around the property, he took us to an outdoor shooting range and allow us to check our rifles for zero. We were so thankful that we did. Turns out that our rifles were way off. However, there was no worries. He took the time to help us site them in properly and we were looking forward to our early morning hunt. The morning of our hunt, we arrived at the property at 5:30am and Travis took us out to the area that we chose to hunt. We weren't there 2 hours before we spotted a large group of pigs (about 25 of them to be exact). I took a shot, but missed. So, I was disappointed. I wasn't feeling too confident with my rifle and I expressed that to Travis. Once again, he came to the rescue. He offered to allow me to use his rifle (that he knew was zeroed in accurately) and I gladly accepted. That evening we hunted, but didn't see anything. So, my wife and I decided to end our hunt. Travis, once again, went over and beyond for us. He offered (and we know he didn't have to) to have us come back early in the morning for a last shot at getting a pig. We took him up on this offer. We arrived back on the property at 5:30am again and Travis took us to a different spot on the property. He got us set up and also allowed me to use his rifle again. We weren't there an hour this time before we heard what seemed like a piggy party off in the distance. When we finally spotted the group of pigs, we were blown away. This group was even bigger than the group we saw before (although it could have been the same group and they just invited some friends and relatives to the party) LOL. Needless to say, we were excited. I took aim and boom. That pig was down. Travis came down and picked us up (along with Ms. Piggy) and took us to his cleaning station. He skinned, gutted and quarter the pig for us. Talked us through the process of what he was doing and educated us on a host of things to consider for our next hunting experience. This was nothing new to us, because Travis was so helpful from the very first day that we contacted him. I could go on and on, but I think anyone reading this will get the point. There is not enough praise that I can give this landowner and his property. As new hunters, my wife and I could NOT have had a better experience. Travis is very personable, helpful and just an overall great guy. He welcomed us and made us feel at home. He went above and beyond to make our experience great and we will always be grateful for that. We are already planning our next hunt on this beautiful ranch. All that's left to say is this. If you're looking for a great place to hunt, don't hesitate to reach out to Travis. I promise that you won't regret it. This is definitely the place for you. Thanks again Travis for this awesome experience and all of the help you provided Catrena and I. Shawn.... (we will be in touch about that deer hunt) :-)
Reviewed by Guest on October 2024I recently had the pleasure of hunting on a stunning property hosted by Travis, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've had in years. From the moment we arrived, Travis made us feel incredibly welcomed. He took the time to show us around the property and share his extensive knowledge about the land and its wildlife. His passion for hunting and conservation was evident, and he was always available to answer questions or provide any guidance. It was clear he genuinely cared about making our experience memorable. The property itself was diverse including dense woods, open fields, and natural water sources, it offered a perfect mix for attracting game. The well-maintained trails made it easy to navigate, and the various stands were strategically placed for optimal visibility. We spotted plenty of deer and other wildlife, which made for exciting encounters. This hunting trip exceeded all my expectations. The combination of Travis's hospitality, the beautiful property, and the abundant wildlife made for an unforgettable adventure. I can't recommend this experience highly enough for anyone looking to hunt in a welcoming and well-managed environment. I’ll definitely be returning for another trip!

Travis was a fantastic host. He took the time to show us around the entirety of Parker Creek Ranch, gave suggestions on the best times and locations to harvest a turkey, and provided us with good information he had gathered from scouting in advance of our trip. He made us feel welcome and maximized our chances of harvesting. He is a stand up guy. The property is also great. It is beautiful, and we saw a lot of turkey action. We saw/heard multiple hens and gobblers both days we were there. It is clear that there is a healthy turkey population on the property. We could not have asked or expected anything more from Travis or Parker Creek Ranch. I highly recommend that you book here!
Reviewed by Guest on April 2024Jonathan and his father were ideal guests. They were very professional and respectful. All communications were good. I showed them around our ranch the evening prior to their turkey hunt. The remainder of the weekend hunt they were entirely independent. I appreciate their leave no trace ethic. Jonathan and his guests are welcome them to our ranch anytime!
Reviewed by Landowner on April 2024 Travis was an ideal host. Showed us around the ranch the day before our hunt, shared insight into expected turkey behavior and suggested places to hunt. While we had to work for success, there was no question as to the presence of game. Saw a number of birds and were able to call in and harvest a beautiful gobbler with a 12" beard on my daughters first turkey hunt. Overall an outstanding hunt. This was my first experience with LandTrust but, if this is any indication of the quality of the properties they represent, I will be a regular with them. Already planning my next trip.
Reviewed by Guest on April 2024Dennis and his daughter were ideal guests. It was readily apparent that they were avid turkey hunters. All of our interactions were professional and respectful. I toured them around the property the day prior to their hunt beginning and they were independent the remainder of the hunt. I would welcome them to hunt on our ranch again!

Born and raised on the same ranch where I reside with my family today. I developed a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy fly fishing with a kayak or wading a small creek. Being just a few hours from the Texas coast I also enjoy chasing Redfish, trout and drum in the bays. My favorite time is a good Fall deer hunt. The harvest ends with turning all of this amazing meat into sausages, Biltong and other foods to nourish my family.
