Plainsview Ranch
We are a small working cattle ranch consisting of approximately 2,200 acres, which includes two irrigation circles that we use to grow hay and alfalfa for our cattle. The majority of our ranch is wide open prairie land with some hills and canyons. The only trees located on the property are tree belts that have been planted for wind shelter.
Various wildlife are available for viewing. We have both deer and antelope that wander across the ranch. We have prairie dogs that can be hunted, as well as many coyotes that call our ranch their home. We are about 20 -30 miles south of the Nebraska Pine Ridge area, and about 40 miles from Fort Robinson State Park. Our ranch is located about 40 miles north of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area.
In addition to hunting, bird watching, and farm/ranch experiences on our property, we currently offer primitive camping. RVs and campers are welcome; however, we currently have no water or electric hook ups, and campground area has not yet been improved for level sites at this time. With that said, the pool courtyard is an amenity available to all guests and features! The pool is 20 X 60 ft. (No lifeguard, all children must be accompanied by an adult while in pool). Our fire pit, multi-level gazing pond, "Cabezo" (enclosed cabin-like gazebo equipped with TV and surround sound), and patio grill area, make for great times with friends and family.
The Backyard Retreat is also an amenity available to all guests and features a picnic shelter with extra large charcoal grill and pergola with fire-pit/grill area. It's the perfect homebase for guests who are hunting or traveling through the area.
We look forward to hosting you on the Ranch!

Visited back in January... this is a really cool property if you're just looking to get away for the weekend. There are plenty of prairie dogs or coyotes to go get after if you're into varmint hunting. They mentioned they do get some antelope on property every once and a while as well. Have a nice guest house and pool to hang by if it is a hot sunny day.
