We're located in the North Zone for waterfowl.
Located just outside Crane Lake, Minnesota, Gold Mine Camp offers a one-of-a-kind experience on the last 17 miles of the Vermilion River: a stretch of water rarely accessed and virtually untouched. Our resort operates seasonally through summer, then transitions to a true wilderness hunting destination after October 1st when the camp closes down and the focus shifts to outdoor sportsmen in the colder months.
Fishing is included with all hunts. 
Undoubtedly one of the finest smallmouth and Northern Pike fisheries in all of Minnesota. Gold Mine offers and easy of fishing unparalleled in the modern age. Walleyes, Crappies and other species are available, especially during key time periods.
Should a fisherman prefer smaller, more tranquil waters, the Vermilion River has no equal. The Vermilion is a deep, slow moving, calm and tranquil fishery. Protected from the elements such as wind and white caps, it allows the fisherman to view a scenic wonderland while pursuing his favorite sport.
We are located 2.5 hours from Duluth, and about 1.5 hours from International Falls (and the US-Canada border). Both of these cities have International Airports for folks flying in. The town of ORR is located about 40 minutes from the property, offering local amenities like gas, food, and lodging. There's a highly rated RV park about 20 minutes from us if you're looking for a place to park an RV with full hookups. 
With nearly zero outside pressure, a private launch, and vast adjacent public land, Gold Mine Camp is the gateway to a sportsman’s wilderness that few ever access.

Secluded Waterfowl Hunting on the Vermillion River | North Zone

Come experience prime hunting at our property in northeastern Minnesota's lake country, nestled in a balsam and spruce forest.&nbsp;
The property sits under a natural migratory path for geese and ducks, and it's abundant with partridge, grouse, pheasant, and other small game-like rabbits, although they can be tricky to spot in the thick woods and grassy areas. Turkeys are just migrating into the area and I am starting to see groups of 6-15 on the roads around the property.
Choose from two camper-ready areas, and enjoy miles of rustic ATV and hiking trails winding through the forest. For all your lodging, dining, and supply needs, Duluth, Virginia, and Hibbing are just 40 miles away, offering plenty of amenities and local experiences. Several highly-rated Airbnb options are also available nearby for a comfortable stay in the region.
