The 21-acre pond is home to some solid waterfowl hunting, along with dove and hog hunting in our mix of grasses, brush, timber, and watering holes.
There's plenty of grassy spots around the pond to set up on. We'd recommend bringing your own layout blinds and decoys for waterfowl.
The waterfowl tend to show up when colder weather pushes them down to Texas, so best time is weather-dependent. Hogs are forever! Usually we get ducks for the majority of the season, but last year (2025) was warmer than usual up north and the ducks didn't show up till later.
THIS PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE BAIT FOR HOG HUNTERS. Please inquire for an add-on fee to your package for us to set up bait for you and your group ahead of time.
Lodging in the BARNDO for up to 14 guests is included in the per-person pricing for this package.
We are located in the North Zone for Duck and Dove and the Eastern Zone for Goose.

Pinoak Ranch

Hog & Waterfowl TX Hunting Vacation | BARNDO Lodging Included

Whitetail hunters are invited to the farm to set up a blind in or near one of our pivots. We see deer all the time on both tracts. Herds can range 2-20 at a time; however, we're encouraged by the high activity and numbers and think it should bode well for hunters who visit!
Deer tend to move in and out of fields, which are good food sources.
PLUS...
Plenty of hog activity here on the farm!
We don't have any designated feeders set; however, hogs will come through the farm often to feed in our fields. Come out for a visit and help us manage this pest!
--
Rifle is recommended due to the limited cover on the farm.
Our farm is located here in Haskell County and is made up of two non-contiguous tracts about 10 minutes (+/- 5 miles) apart. Our northeast parcel consists of two pivots, about 308 acres total. Our southwest parcel consists of three pivots, in addition to brushy edges and a 40-acre patch of timber, about 434 acres in total.
The farm is located about an hour north of Abilene and access to I-20, which can get you from the DFW area reasonably quick.
