Texas Whitetail Unit South Zone Medina

The weather is finally starting to cool off here in South Texas. Lots of activity at the feeders. Wild hogs are abundant and a lot of young bucks and does starting to show up at the feeders. It’s a great time of the year to visit the ranch and book a hunt.

After a recent remodel, we’re excited to offer lodging at El Cerrito, our ranch house overlooking the Seco Valley. The house features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with four twin beds and one king bed, along with a large kitchen and spacious living area, plenty of room to relax after a day on the ranch. A full-length front porch looks West across the ranch, offering incredible views of the setting sun. The house is surrounded by large live oaks, native grasses, and the quiet, open landscape of a working South Texas cattle ranch. El Cerrito is comfortable, simple, and well suited for hunters and outdoor groups looking for a place to stay where the lodging is part of the ranch experience, not just somewhere to sleep.

Dove season is in full swing at Parker Creek Ranch. Took the family out hunting several times and limited out. We have good feed and water this year from the early summer rains. Nights are starting to cool off as we roll into the fall season. It's a perfect time to book a hog hunt and whitetail deer season is just around the corner.

Josh and his family were great guests. They are seasoned hunters with a clear appreciation and love for the outdoors, followed the rules, and left things very tidy at the house. They are welcome back anytime!!
