Sitting on over 2 miles of the Belle Fourche River, our River Valley Ranch property just outside of Sundance, Wyoming, offers 2,760 acres of scenic terrain that is PERFECT for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore Crook County.&nbsp;
The fishing is great. We have catfish, bluegill, bass, and carp!
The landscape is a patchwork of hay meadows, timbered river bottoms, and rugged coulees that invite everything from horseback rides (bring your own horse) and hikes to photography and birdwatching.&nbsp;
With 500 acres of hay fields interspersed with native grasses and brushy shelter, the area supports a wide range of wildlife, making it a standout destination for photographers and birders alike.
Multiple water features, including the perennial Belle Fourche River, small reservoirs, and livestock tanks, create lush ribbons of life that attract deer, turkey, upland birds, and small mammals. These natural resources, combined with the elevation changes across the breaks and coulees, offer stunning backdrops for landscape photography and peaceful exploration.&nbsp;
Mountain/gravel bikers and hikers will appreciate the open routes and visual variety, while those with binoculars or a camera in hand will find no shortage of subject matter.&nbsp;
Camping and RV access are available for overnight stays on the ranch.

We are a regenerative-minded, family cow/calf operation based out of Rozet, Wyoming.&nbsp;
Located less than 20 minutes from interstate access to I-90, about 30 minutes from Gilette, and within an 1 and a half of Belle Fourche, SD; Spearfish, SD; and Broadus, MT.
Lodging Options:
Our family's rustic 1950s-era cabin is available. Recently updated but intentionally off-grid, the cabin has four rooms, a woodstove kitchen, queen beds, a modern outhouse, and an outdoor firepit equipped for campfire cooking.&nbsp;
Overland truck and tent camping is available as well. No hookups.

Our ponds may have fish if someone wanted to come out and drop a line in. Not sure what species you'd find though!
With a landscape defined by deep draws, rugged creek beds, and sweeping vistas, this property delivers an authentic western experience perfect for horseback riding (bring your own), hiking, gravel biking, and nature-based recreation.&nbsp;
Seasonal creeks like Iron Creek, Soda Creek, and Beaver Creek, carve their way through the property alongside scattered reservoirs and stock tanks, supporting native wildlife and diverse plant life across the terrain.
The ranch’s elevation changes and open sightlines make it a dream for photographers, with golden-hour light washing over distant ridges and wildlife often seen grazing along the horizon. Birders can explore the varied habitat of grasslands and brushy creek bottoms, where species shift with the seasons. Gravel bikers and riders can traverse long interior roads and trails that connect scenic overlooks and quiet creekbeds.&nbsp;
We do have a cabin available for overnight stays, in addition to camping and RV access.
