Hunt waterfowl on our ranch ponds!
The OJO Ranch is 10,000 acres of expansive, completely unobstructed Native Grassland and Rocky Gullies. The property has a huge presence of rich geology and also includes 1,000 acres of CRP.
Before our family bought the ranch, Roy Rogers is believed to have trained his famous Palominos in this area. The ranch also features a rock formation with carvings in the rock from 1886 of people passing through as they settled the West.
The ranch has been in our family for three generations, and we are very excited to share our piece of Western Kansas with you!

Late-Season Waterfowl Hunt | Migration Opps on Ranch Reservoirs

Our ag fields and water sources provide excellent habitat for waterfowl flying through the area.
Our farm is located in Rawlins County, Kansas, and is a great destination to experience the High Plains in the northwestern part of the state. We have 2,600 acres consisting of varied terrain from ag pasture and rolling hills to ravines and wooded creekbottoms.
There is also a pond on the property with crappie, catfish, and largemouth bass, which is perfect for a day or two of catch-and-release fishing.
Campers and RVers are invited to set up on the property for an overnight stay or simply stay in a nearby hotel.

High Plains Waterfowl Hunt | Late Season Setups in Ag Stubble

Throughout the Fall and into winter, the pond is a major hotspot for ducks and geese. Bird dogs are welcome. In addition, hunters are permitted to bring any blinds or decoys along on their hunt.
Please inquire with us to check about drought conditions and whether the pond has enough water to hold birds.
The farm is located in the High Plains Zone for ducks.
Permits are valid statewide for the taking of geese.
Dodge City Wingshooting is a 3rd-generation family farm located just northwest of our listing's namesake: Dodge City, Kansas. On our 40 acres, we have plentiful wildlife due in large part to the farm's large pond that spans nearly the entire property from east to west. In addition to that water source, the farm features good cover in our brush and tall grasses surrounding the pond.
No lodging is available on-site; however, a local hotel is just a short drive away in Dodge City, which is less than 5 miles from the farm.
Please reach out with any questions, and we'll look forward to accommodating you!
