Situated in the southeastern part of the state, this unit is just south of the vibrant city of Lincoln. Known for its strong deer populations, it provides outstanding hunting opportunities, particularly for bucks. The landscape primarily consists of agricultural crop fields, interspersed with patches of mature hardwoods. These wooded areas support lush ground cover, making them ideal habitats for deer. This unit is among the top in the state for record-book entries of Whitetail deer. While entries have been noted across the unit, Gage, Lancaster, Otoe, and Saline counties are particularly noteworthy for their prevalence.
