What can I do on private land through LandTrust?

It depends on the property. Landowners list packages for hunting, fishing, bird watching, foraging, camping, farm stays and more. Each listing shows the activities it offers, the packages, the price and the available dates.

How does booking private land work?

Search by state, county or activity, compare properties and packages, and pick your dates. You pay when you book, and you can message the landowner from the listing with any questions.

Will other people be on the property during my trip?

During your booking, you and your party have exclusive access to the property for the package you booked.

How much does it cost to book private land?

Landowners set their own prices. Each package shows its starting price per guest, and the total depends on the number of guests, the dates and any lodging you add.

The grouse and pheasants are super thick in the hayfields this fall. They're as thick as I've ever seen them. There's been a couple of better than average muley bucks spotted drinking out of one of our water tanks on Otter Creek. I still need to get that game camera up to see if I can snap a couple pics. There's also been a pretty decent Whitetail buck hanging out in the hayfield by the house. Neighbors have been spotting elk coming into the meadows, but I haven't seen them yet. However, I have seen the fence they've wiped out. Ha ha.

We had a great opening week of bird hunting on the Yellowstone River. We had 3 group bookings of bird hunting and lodging over 7 days. Every hunter limited out on pheasant within a few hours each morning with the exception of one hunter who bagged two roosters. All of the birds were taken from the west farm and no one has bird hunted the east farm. We believe the rooster population on the river may be the largest number we've had in over ten years.
