Archery Only is permitted; however, this is not a trophy hunt.
This hunt could be a good option for bowhunters looking for the challenge of a spot and stalk hunt.
The timing of our season in Kansas in relation to Nebraska's rifle season and the hunting season for the Iowa Tribe of Southeastern Nebraska, leaves our area's deer population pretty picked through.&nbsp;
This will most likely end up being a freezer filler doe hunt, with the small chance of a buck.

Rifle is permitted; however, this is not a trophy hunt. We ask that all rifle hunters exercise gun safety at all times.

This unit is located in the northeastern corner of Kansas and offers excellent habitat for whitetail deer, with hundreds of farms, pastures, woodlots, and river and creek bottoms. The unit also includes an urban hunting area between Topeka and Kansas City, as well as on Fort Leavenworth, while the eastern half of the unit is characterized by dense woods.
