Our property is East of US Highway 191 and consists of just over 1,200 acres.
The ranch is best suited for long range rifle hunters, due to our wide open spaces!

McClure Ranch 410

Elk Hunt

We've had a group of bulls hang on us all year, usually 30-50 head. They usually like to hang around the northern part of our place, along the creek.
Please inquire if adding RV camping to your hunting package.
It's been so dry as of recent in 410, and lots of folks haven't had great luck in the public pieces of our unit; so, this is great opportunity for folks who want to fill their special rifle tag.
We recommend a careful approach as the elk have been known to blow out of the area if they get scared, not returning to our property for a day or two.																	
We can also help with transport to and from areas of the property if needed. Transportation will depend on fire danger. We have several 2 track roads throughout the property that are fine for trucks. Message for more details. We can help find local AirBnB lodging if needed.

Rifle Elk Hunt

With water, food, and habitat readily available, the ranch has everything you need for a successful hunt!
The property is in Unit 410 for elk.
We are excited to be opening this new chunk of our family ranch, consisting of 5,800 acres in Petroleum County. The ground is big country with rolling hills covered in sage brush with some timber.&nbsp;
Note: 350 acres of the property is timbered - about 6% of the total ranch. This acreage is where the elk will be concentrated. The parcel is located deep in the property and will require you to hike in to access it. This part of the ranch is also bordered by a large swath of remote BLM with about 500 additional timbered acres, which also hold elk. 
There are two prominent creeks that run through the ranch. In addition to the creeks, we have some ranch reservoirs and livestock tanks as well.&nbsp;
We have plenty of space to park a mobile/overland camper or pitch a tent.&nbsp;
The nearest town of Winnett, MT is just 7 miles to the south with local lodging options and a general store.&nbsp;
There is no minimum or maximum number of days when booking, however we would like to cap hunters to groups of 3-4 for safety reasons.&nbsp;
We are happy to open access to our property for recreation and trust that visitors will be respectful of the land and leave it as they found it.

Extended Archery Elk Hunt | Remote Timber Access in HD 410

If you were lucky enough to draw unit 410 , bring your camper and pull into one of two RV campsites with power. You can hunt the hundreds of thousands of acres of public land that surrounds you. Hundreds of miles of atv and secondary roads. Elk have been seen directly behind the campsites.&nbsp;
Turkey and Upland Bird hunting available as well on the public access.

RV/Camping | Access to Public Land in Montana HD 410

The property is split by Montana Highway 200, which is also a boundary for the big game hunting districts. The acreage north of the highway, about 1,000 acres, represents GMU 410 for elk. The acreage south of the highway, about 1,900 acres, represents GMU 411 for elk. 
The grasslands and pines provide solid habitat for elk, with good habitat along the McDonald Creek and hayfields.
In addition to our private acres, we share multiple borders with State, BLM, and Block Management lands, which is good for additional access and for public pressure pushing wildlife onto the ranch.&nbsp;
The McDonald Creek, which is located on our acreage south of the highway, is a highly productive area for hunting, in addition to the timbered foothills that can be found south of the creek.
RV and tent camping is available to add on to your packages.&nbsp;
