There's solid bird hunting along the brushy edges of the Twelve Mile Creek. Hayfields have been productive for the birds as well, in addition to the ditches.
Bird dogs permitted as long as they are not a bother to the cattle.

Pheasant hunters are invited to hunt our 1,200 acres, which include 400 acres of CRP grass. Our property has some great transition areas to and from food sources and cover.&nbsp;
You can bring your well-trained birds to work the pheasants!

This package includes hunting access to Sage and Sharptail Grouse, with the occasional pheasant!
This part of the ranch consists of over 7,000 acres.
It's recommended that you bring a side by side or ATV during your visit to get around our many acres.
A note on Access:
If it's rained and roads are wet/muddy, the ranch is completely inaccessible. Access to the ranch will be heavily dependent on weather. If we've gotten rain and roads are wet/muddy, we will work with you to either reschedule your trip or refund you in full as the ranch is completely inaccessible.
The ranch is located East of the Continental Divide for grouse and pheasant.

IOU Ranch West

The ranch offers a ton of ground, just under 4,000 acres, for you and bird dogs to work. Bird populations are plentiful here, plus habitat is varied and amenable for wildlife. The ranch is uniquely situated to offer grassland and open space near the lower areas of the ranch, while the upper areas consist of more mountainous timber and draws.
Opportunity for pheasants and huns, with grouse as well on the upper roads/paths in the high ground.

Guests are invited to stay at the Hightail and hunt pheasant and huns on Roam Free Ranch.&nbsp;
Bird populations are plentiful here, with lots of ground to work with. The ranch is mostly grasslands with timbered areas and draws that can be found as you get into the ranch's higher elevations (~4,400-5,200 feet).
This package is a flat rate of $1,000 per day/night and includes meals and lodging for up to 4 guests. Included in this package is a stay in our historic homestead and an upland bird hunt.&nbsp;
Additional nights in the cabin are available for $400 per night.
