Ashland, MT • 1,450 Acres
The grouse and pheasants are super thick in the hayfields this fall. They're as thick as I've ever seen them. There's been a couple of better than average muley bucks spotted drinking out of one of our water tanks on Otter Creek. I still need to get that game camera up to see if I can snap a couple pics. There's also been a pretty decent Whitetail buck hanging out in the hayfield by the house. Neighbors have been spotting elk coming into the meadows, but I haven't seen them yet. However, I have seen the fence they've wiped out. Ha ha.

We had a great opening week of bird hunting on the Yellowstone River. We had 3 group bookings of bird hunting and lodging over 7 days. Every hunter limited out on pheasant within a few hours each morning with the exception of one hunter who bagged two roosters. All of the birds were taken from the west farm and no one has bird hunted the east farm. We believe the rooster population on the river may be the largest number we've had in over ten years.
