This package allows access to harvest pheasants and other upland birds on the property. We'll be able to give you advice on where to go on the property and how to hunt each area.&nbsp;
We have a huge amount of birds this year, much higher than we have had previously.
Spring Valley Ranch is located on the Fort Peck Reservations and hunters are NOT required to purchase a Montana license but rather licenses online or over the counter through the Fort Peck Tribes Fish &amp; Game. Licenses for upland birds and pheasant are available yearly for out-of-state and Montana residents.

Pheasant and Upland Bird Hunt

Calling all upland bird hunters! Our west ranch has some good ag ground with pivots closer to our house, which routinely hold pheasants. The remainder of the property is mostly grassland, providing other opportunities for pheasants in addition to huns and sharpies. Bird dogs are more than welcome!

Stoltz Ranch West

2-day/1-night minimum. Max of 6 days for this package, please book our week-long package if interested in longer trip for a discounted rate.
This package includes hunting access to Sage and Sharptail Grouse, with the occasional pheasant!
This part of the ranch consists of over 7,000 acres.
It's recommended that you bring a side by side or ATV during your visit to get around our many acres.
A note on Access:
If it's rained and roads are wet/muddy, the ranch is completely inaccessible. Access to the ranch will be heavily dependent on weather. If we've gotten rain and roads are wet/muddy, we will work with you to either reschedule your trip or refund you in full as the ranch is completely inaccessible.
The ranch is located East of the Continental Divide for grouse and pheasant.

Hunt upland birds at the Upper spot here at Mahlstedt Ranch!
The terrain does pose a physically challenging hunt. Well-trained and well-conditioned bird dogs are recommended.
Preference is given to groups who book lodging. Day hunting without lodging will not be booked out until mid September.
Lodging can be added on to your package.&nbsp;

Single Day Pheasant

Hunt pheasant at CT Farms.
We have a vast and varying terrain with prime access to local BLM and Block Management areas.&nbsp;
Up to six guests can stay in the Little Blue House. Amenities such as paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and in-house entertainment are not provided so please bring those along with you. The lodge is mainly set-up as a place to clean up and rest.

Pheasant Hunt

The ranch offers a ton of ground, just under 4,000 acres, for you and bird dogs to work. Bird populations are plentiful here, plus habitat is varied and amenable for wildlife. The ranch is uniquely situated to offer grassland and open space near the lower areas of the ranch, while the upper areas consist of more mountainous timber and draws.
Opportunity for pheasants and huns, with grouse as well on the upper roads/paths in the high ground.
The Flathead Reservation has specific hunting regulations. Ferry Basin Upland Bird Hunt

Guests are invited to stay at the Hightail and hunt pheasant and huns on Roam Free Ranch.&nbsp;
Bird populations are plentiful here, with lots of ground to work with. The ranch is mostly grasslands with timbered areas and draws that can be found as you get into the ranch's higher elevations (~4,400-5,200 feet).
This package is a flat rate of $1,000 per day/night and includes meals and lodging for up to 4 guests. Included in this package is a stay in our historic homestead and an upland bird hunt.&nbsp;
Additional nights in the cabin are available for $400 per night.
