The Bolton Jeffries Ranch consists of two parcels, about 800 and 600 acres apiece, just outside of Hilger, Montana. This property is easy to access and features breathtaking views of the Judith Mountains to the south.
***Best mule deer hunting will probably be on our 600 acres in HD 417.***
Our 800 acres are located south of Hilger, and represent Montana Hunt District 412. Our 600 acres are located northeast of Hilger, and represent Montana Hunt District 417.
Our History
Our family is proud to come from a long line of ranching in Montana. My great-grandparents originally settled in the Musselshell area after immigrating from Yugoslavia. In the late 30s and early 40s, they moved from Musselshell to Central Montana, where our family has stewarded the land ever since. Now, as 4th and 5th generation ranchers, we continue to place a premium on preserving our habitat and live with a deep sense of gratitude for our private piece of Montana.&nbsp;

We have about 1,800 acres in HD 426 and 1,460 acres in HD 417. Buck and doe tags will be specific to your unit.
Our North place is our family's ranch consisting of 3 parcels and 3,275 total acres. We are located north of Hilger, Montana, on both sides of highway 236.
These parcels are home to our family's ranching headquarters. My father built the main houses and raised us here.&nbsp;
On easternmost parcel is near some block management access.

The McClure Ranch is a Montana family ranching operation located south of the Missouri River and CMR National Wildlife Refuge.&nbsp;
We are located in HD 417, which is a general mule deer unit.
Our property also borders thousands of acres of publicly accessible land: Type-1 BMA, BLM, and CMR WIldlife Refuge.
This is a working ranch. From the end of September and through the month of October, we gather cattle behind the house, along with other neighbors that have grazing rights in certain areas. We just do not want to surprise people when we gather into the pastures on both sides of the highway. We are respectful of hunters and aside from shipping day, do not come in until after 10AM. Please inquire with any questions or concerns.
We will be offering a dry camp RV option for hunters. We are in the process of putting in gravel (should be done before 2024 season). Prior to getting gravel in, if it rains guests will either have to leave the RV, or stay a little longer 🤠.&nbsp;
The ranch is located about 55 minutes from Lewistown and 40 minutes north of Grass Range.
Lodging is available in Montana Breaks Bunkhouse, a 4-bedroom, fully-furnished house. You can find the bunkhouse on VRBO.
