The ranch is primarily home to mule deer, and it's a great spot to fill your general tag. Lots of hills and bluffs with Ponderosa pines, plus abundant draws should make for plenty of opportunity to get on a buck.
There is some potential for whitetail as well; however, sportsmen are most likely to find muleys during their hunt.
We are located in HD 702, which is a general tag for muley bucks. 
Our family's east property is quintessential Ponderosa pine country, home to elk, mule deer, some whitetail, and Merriam's turkeys. We ranch on just over 3,400 acres about 35 minutes southwest of Forsyth. The ranch is easily accessible from Interstate 94, about a 25-minute drive.&nbsp;
About our Family:
We are newer to Eastern Montana as our family made the difficult decision to leave our family ranch in northcentral Montana, just north of Great Falls, where our family had lived and ranched for just over 98 years. Now, we are proud to call this area home after the learning curves that come with moving to and ranching in a different region of the Big Sky State.
This year, we are pleased to be offering hunting and recreation access to our 3,400+ acres. We are looking forward to sharing our land with respectful sportsmen and recreators. A road network allows full access to the fenced and gated property. No public hunting is offered.

Hunting mule deer in 702 can be done with a general tag. We don't see enough consistent elk activity to offer a permit hunt. If you are lucky enough to draw a tag, feel free to reach out though still, and we'd be happy to see if we can accommodate you.
The ranch has solid glassing spots on the ridges and multiple draws to put a stalk on bucks. Plenty of watering holes and livestock tanks provide water sources for the deer in the midst of the ponderosa pine and sagebrush habitat.
WELCOME TO THE FLAT TOP! 
The ranch is located 30 miles SW of Forsyth, Montana. The location is coincidentally 33 miles from Hysham / Forsyth / Colstrip.
The ranch goes back to homesteading days of early teens here in Rosebud County, Montana, with rock inscriptions dating 1899 on the property. The ranch has had four owners prior and downsized since, presently 1163 beautiful acres. We bought the ranch in 2005, living in Virginia for 60 years. We moved to Montana in 2009, where my son did did his years of high school in Hysham. The ranch was leased for 10 years and we started raising our own cattle in 2015. The ranch is isolated 20 miles from I94 at the end of a graveled Reservation Creek Road. The elevation approaches 4000’ and the views are AMAZING if you just want to be a sightseer/shed hunt/or bird watcher here for your visit. No humanity is in sight.&nbsp;
The ranch has been improved since with solar wells, water stations, cross fencing, whereby rotation/reverse grazing has improved the soil and health cattle. Recently the ranch was certified organic. Wildlife is abundant with elk/deer/antelope, birds and turkeys.&nbsp;
