Both are general deer units. Montana residents can purchase a tag over the counter, but non-residents must apply for tags.

You will definitely get a shot, and you can hunt mornings and evenings (with only a 10-minute walk to the tree stand from your room), and fly fish the Yellowstone only a few yards from the back door of your room.

Whitetail Doe Hunt w/ Lodging & Fishing

Archery, rifle, and muzzleloader are all permitted.
Big game hunters are invited to the ranch, which is part of the Upper Yellowstone East hunting district. Sportsmen with their general tag will have the option to harvest ONE of the following:

<li>Mule Deer Buck</li>
<li>Either-sex Whitetail Deer</li>
<li>Brow-tined Bull Elk</li>
<li>Antlerless Elk</li>
</ul>
Our populations of elk and mule deer tend to be more transitory. Whitetails are most frequently seen residents.

Due to Grizzly Bear activity, and in order to protect our horses, we have fairly tall electric fence set up on three of four of the ranch borders. We still have consistent wildlife activity; however, they have to come in on the border that doesn't have a fence.													&nbsp;

Mill Creek Ranch

Unit 317 General Hunt | Option to Harvest Elk OR Deer

Our food sources found in our ag pivots attract mule deer to the ranch. We've seen some decent shooter bucks taken off the property in years past.

Due to Grizzly Bear activity, and in order to protect our horses, we have fairly tall electric fence set up on three of four of the ranch borders. We still have consistent wildlife activity; however, they have to come in on the border that doesn't have a fence.																		&nbsp;

General Mule Deer Hunt

This is an excellent spot for whitetail hunters. With both Elbow Creek and Mill Creek, there's water and cover for decent bucks!
