Our ranch is host to a ton of Mule Deer that like to hang around the Big Sandy Creek drainage.&nbsp;
The mule deer population is high. There are hundreds of deer on the ranch with lots of hills, coulees, small streams and brush to hunt. Most people who come out shoot a 4x4 mule deer with some getting bigger and some smaller, but very few people leave without a deer if they are here more than a day or two.

Guests are invited to the Sheehy Ranch for an inside look into a typical day on a working Montana cattle ranch. Experiences will vary depending on the time of year, so send us an inquiry to ensure you come on the best possible day. Seasonal experiences may include:

Ranch Tours

Guests are invited to Chase Hill Adventures for RV stays.
This package includes exclusive RV access to our entire ranch plus any DIY outdoor recreation activities such as: hiking, bike riding, wildlife viewing, and photography. If there is an experience you would like to add during your stay, just ask!
Booking this package gives you exclusive access for the day and evening you book. Please confirm check-out time with us for the morning after your booking.

Price is a flat daily rate of $75 per rig or vehicle for up to 5 guests.&nbsp;

RV Experience

Predominately we shoot Black Tail Prairie Dogs and Richardson Ground Squirrels, but we often have opportunities on badger, coyote, raccoon, porcupine, and skunks. Our varmint hunters have thousands of acres of prairie dogs and gophers to choose from. We shoot off benches that are extremely stable and we are equipped to assist you shooting out to 2000 yards. These hunts are available in mid-May to June or mid-August to September.
Price breaks down to $100 per person per day for one to ten guests to hunt coyotes and prairie dogs.
Minimum of three days/two nights required on all bookings. RV (no hookups) or camping is permitted.

Varmint Hunt

Our ranch is host to a small population of Whitetail that like to hang around the Big Sandy Creek drainage.&nbsp;

Rifle Whitetail Hunt

We have a steady flow of both Whitetail and Mule Deer here at the ranch. Hunters can take advantage of our Teton Riverbottom access in addition to our higher ground which opens up into rolling sage brush hills. We also border a chunk of 5,000+ acres of BLM lands as well. We have several tree stands situated for bow hunting and upon request we can we can scout and place a ground blind to have in place well in advance of your hunt.
When you book a hunt of more than one day, we will block out three or more days in advance of your hunt (if not already booked) to assure the ranch can rest between hunts. We presently (as of 4/14) have three hunt days booked of the 6 days that are blocked. Because we don't book back to back, guests are welcome to check in the afternoon of the day before to get oriented and scout.
We see pheasant, hungarian partridge, sharptail grouse, duck and geese around the ranch, but we dont feel there are enought birds to offer a specific bird package; however, during your deer hunt, you are welcome to bring a shotgut and hunt any in-season upland bird or waterfowl as well.

Archery Deer Elk Hunt

Our vast acreage gives outdoor enthusiasts a chance to experience Montana at its finest! We are pleased to offer hiking at Mount Centennial, stargazing, and backpacking.
While you're on the property make sure to look out for the teepee circles as well as several old homestead sites.
Guests are also invited to fish on the Big Sandy Creek, which has small Brook and Rainbow Trout. Fishing is included with each package, so bring your pole along!

Outdoor Recreation

Our property is home to some amazing bird species and other forms of wildlife.
We have Dusky Grouse that frequent our higher elevations, while we've also seen Prairie Chickens and Herons.
Our elk population makes for great wildlife viewing opportunities; however, they typically leave the property around hunting season. Inquire prior to booking! Over the years the property's landscape paired with the animals that call it home have made for some jawdropping pictures. Make sure to bring your camera during your bird watching and wildlife viewing experience.

DIY Bird Watching

Guests are invited to Chase Hill Adventures for Horseback Riding.
Guests must bring their own horses; however, this is a sprawling location to ride to your heart's content!

This is a really neat turkey spot out of Loma where three rivers (Teton/Marias/Missouri) converge making for lots of ideal turkey habitat. We'll routinely see flocks of close to 50 birds on the property. Hunters have had good success in years past along the riverbottom or close to the pastures. Some of the hunter feedback we have received is that the tall bluff overlooking the entire property is ideal for scouting flocks, enabling for more effective hunting.
Turkey hunters will most likely find Merriam's in this part of Montana.
When you book a hunt of more than one day, we will block out three or more days in advance of your hunt (if not already booked) to give the ranch a rest between hunts. We presently (as of 4/14) have seven hunt days booked of the 23 days that are blocked. Spring Turkey Hunt on the Teton River

Guests are invited to Chase Hill Adventures for trail riding.
Vehicles are not provided. 4-wheelers, side by sides, and dirt bikes are welcome.
This would be a great spot for E-Bikes!
